ABOUT SYDNEY HOBSON

Hi there!

I’m Sydney and I’m glad you’re here.

It’s tricky, because I know that more than likely, this isn’t a place you want to be. Life probably feels really hard right now and maybe it has felt that way for a while. And despite all of the pain that has come from things that haven’t worked out, you are here willing to give something else a try with the hope that this could be the thing that helps you, your child, or your family.

I get it because I’ve been there too. Trying to find a solution but not knowing if it even exists.

My approach is grounded in attachment theory and I have been reminded time and time again that supportive relationships are restorative and have the power to make real change. I believe that counseling can be a place to grow in your relationship with others and yourself, develop resilience, and explore emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and experiences in the context of a relationship where you feel valued and secure.

While I don’t know what brings you here today and I can’t answer the question of “why” it happened, I can partner with you as you process it and help you figure out where to go from here.

When I’m not at the office, you can usually find me reading a book, playing with my dog, checking out unique coffee shops, or spending time with family and friends.
